Weil’s Private Funds Group has won IJInvestor’s Legal Adviser of the Year, Fundraising EMEA Award for its fundraising achievements in the energy and infrastructure space. This award recognizes the most outstanding performance by a law firm advising clients involved in the deployment of capital by institutional investors in energy and infrastructure assets, and is judged by an independent panel of industry experts.

Weil is the only law firm to have been shortlisted for both its fundraising and M&A expertise in the infrastructure and energy markets, highlighting Weil’s leading market position working with some of the largest and most active infrastructure managers in this space. Weil was previously named overall Legal Advisor of the Year at the IJInvestor Awards 2020.

The judges at the most recent IJInvestor Awards noted that Weil had “acted on an impressive amount of fund raises” during the judging period, commenting in particular on Weil’s involvement in certain market-leading energy transition and sustainability focused fundraisings. Weil was also lauded for having “lots of different practice areas that can support funds throughout the entire process”.
