Weil is advising PSG Equity, a leading growth equity firm partnering with software and technology-enabled services companies to help accelerate their growth, in its investment in Versatile Credit, a leading provider of software connecting merchants, lenders and consumers to facilitate loans at points-of-sale. PSG Managing Director Marco Ferrari and Principal Chris Nesbitt will join Versatile’s Board of Directors.
“Given PSG’s history of investments in embedded fintech solutions, we quickly identified embedded lending as an attractive opportunity,” Nesbitt said. “Versatile immediately stood out as a leader in this vast and growing market, serving an important role as the conduit for distribution of consumer lending products at the time when the customer is engaged in a transaction.”
The Weil team was led by Private Equity partner David Gail and includes Private Equity associates Niko Lane and Carson Parks; Executive Compensation & Benefits partner Jennifer Britz and associate Elissa Berdini; Technology & IP Transactions partner Dennis Adams and associates Justin Yun and Alexis Bello; Privacy & Cybersecurity partner Olivia Greer and associates Dominic Farchione and Adeline Park; Tax partner Hillel Jacobson and associate Charles Kogel; and Regulatory Transactions counsel Ariel Fliman.
