Weil Advises Ares Management and Goldman Sachs Asset Management on Their Participation in CD&R’s Pending Takeover of Morrisons

Weil is advising funds managed by the Credit Group of Ares Management Corporation and the Private Credit business within Goldman Sachs Asset Management on their participation in the recommended cash offer for Wm Morrison Supermarkets plc by Clayton, Dubilier & Rice, which values the supermarket chain at £9.7 billion including debt. The transaction is subject to shareholder and court approval, as well as customary merger clearances.

The Weil team is being led by partners Chris McLaughlin and Paul Stewart, supported by partner Murray Cox and senior consultant Ian Hamilton.
