Weil advised Gores Metropoulos, Inc., a SPAC sponsored by affiliates of The Gores Group, LLC and Metropoulos & Co., in its $3.4 billion merger with Luminar Technologies, Inc., a producer of advanced lidar sensor technologies that bounce lasers off objects to guide vehicles for the autonomous vehicle industry. The transaction closed on December 02, 2020.
