Weil advised Cobham (a portfolio company of Advent International) on its $965 million sale of Cobham Aerospace Connectivity, a provider of highly engineered primarily proprietary antennas and radios for defense and commercial aerospace applications with manufacturing sites in the U.K., U.S. and Finland, to U.S.-based TransDigm Group Incorporated. The transaction closed on January 05, 2021. Prior to this, the Firm advised Cobham on the sale of Cobham Aviation Services UK, a provider of outsourced aviation services for military and civil customers worldwide, to Draken International (a portfolio company of Blackstone) in September 2020.

In July 2019, Weil advised Advent International on the financing, antitrust and regulatory aspects of its £4 billion take-private of Cobham plc, a deal which was “highly commended” at The Lawyer Awards earlier this year.
