Weil has advised a consortium led by Terra Firma on the sale of Parmaco, a leading provider of high-quality, flexible modular education buildings in the Nordics, to Partners Group.
Established in 1966 and headquartered in Tampere, Finland, Parmaco designs, builds and leases high-quality modular school and child day-care buildings to municipality customers. With a portfolio of 353 buildings and approximately 180 employees, it is the leading leasing company of modular public educational buildings supporting communities across Finland, with a growing presence in Sweden.
The transaction, resulting from a sales process run by Deutsche Bank, is subject to merger control approval from the Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority and is currently expected to close in Q2 2021.
The Weil team was led by Private Equity Infrastructure partner James MacArthur supported by counsel Edward Freeman, associates Candice Lambeth, Lennard Ong and Ellie Dagley. Private Equity Infrastructure Finance partner Paul Hibbert advised on financing aspects, counsel Nafees Saeed advised on competition (alongside Bird & Bird in Finland) and partner Oliver Walker advised on tax aspects.
