Weil advised MBK Partners and the Teamsport Consortium – which included MBK Partners, the Chairman of eHi Car Services Ltd., The Crawford Group, Inc. (owner of the Enterprise, Alamo and National brands), Ocean Link Partners and Ctrip Investment Holdings – in the privatization of eHi Car Services Limited (eHi), the second-largest car rental and car services provider in China. The transaction closed on April 9, 2019. As a result of the merger, eHi ceased to be listed on the New York Stock Exchange and became a privately held company that is 100% indirectly owned by the Teamsport Consortium.
The Weil team was led by Private Equity partner Tim Gardner and included Private Equity partner Chris Welty and associates Kris Desrosiers and Jeremiah Phillips. The Weil team also included Public Company Advisory Group partner Adé Heyliger, Securities Litigation partner Miranda Schiller and Capital Markets partner Heather Emmel.
